Inspired by Joel's nickname while growing up, "Joelibear", our little family is affectionately called, "Da Bears". Starring: Joel as "Papa Bear" Kristine as "Mama Bear" Joseph as "Brother Bear" Levi as "Baby Bear"

Joseph misses my brother Antonio, his "Tito," and kept asking about him this week. So here's a little hello from Maryland to Cebu :) Wish we were there enjoying the warm weather instead of this snow.

Of course, Levi wants to say, "Hi," too! Get ready for the happiest 2 minutes of baby laughter :)

Christmas & New Year's activities

The Holidays was a special time for us this year. We were so blessed to be able to see our families and our friends and have lots of fun celebrating Christmas and New Year's Day. Sometimes I wish everyone just lived "closer" to home so we can enjoy one another all the time! It's been a really fun ride. However, there was a big bump- a pothole, if you will - during this time- and that is Levi had a bacterial infection the day before Christmas Eve. After much in and out of the doctor's office, a 2-week long dose of antibiotics, and lots of prayers, we were finally able to breathe a little easier and enjoy 2010! Needless to say, Levi is a thriving baby boy on his 4-month appt, weighing in at 22 1/2 lbs! "he's a hunk" is an understatement :)

Joseph is proving to be a 2-year old boy, through and through. The stage of "watch what you say and do" has officially started --

Me: "Joseph, just calm down. "
Joe: "Mama, calm down!"

(while we're reading one of his picture books)
Me: "ugh, gross, mouse on a cheese"
(another time, while Joel was reading him the book)
Joe: "gwoss, mouse on cheese!"

and the daring side has emerged more fully (leaping out of his crib, being a spiderman on top of furnitures, etc). Best of all, his sweetness has blossomed and his sincerity, unmatched! A few lines that I love are,
"awwww... baby is soooo cute!" (squinty eyes, puckered lips)
"I wanna see baby" (as soon as I get him from the crib)
"I want some more milk, please," (signing "please" at the end)
"hey, that's mine!"
"Goodmorning, Mama!" (it doesn't matter what time, just as long as he just woke up from the night or from a nap)

Me: Joe, you ok?
Joe: Ya, OK.

Here are some snapshots from the last couple of months (in no order :) ).
Hope you enjoy them!

Summer 2009

Is it really September 16 already!?  Where did summer go!!???

Just wanted to share some of our activities this summer-

* We moved from Silver Spring, MD to Germantown, MD in May.  We like our 2br apt- the location is AWESOME.  Close to the church building and close to Joel's aunt's family.
* It was the last trimester of my pregnancy- I was HOT a lot of the time!
* I took Joseph to the pool A LOT!
* On August 27, Levi Anthony Pincock was born!  8lbs, 11oz, 21 inches.   He is just a darling baby, growing big and strong and amazing us every day!

Since I'm rekindling my commitment to this blog, I dont want to get too ahead of myself.  Hope you enjoy the pics!

People first, then food, then things...

JOSEPH'S FIRST BIRTHDAY WAS SO MUCH FUN!
As Suze Orman says, "People first, then money, then things"... well, to describe the pictures, it's - People first, then FOOD, then things :)

Since it was Oct 25, a few days before Halloween, we started off having Joseph and his guests have a photo-op in their costumes. It was a zoo- because we had lots of animal costumes, and also because of the mayhem that happens trying to take a picture of lots of kids at the same time.

After the pictures, we had some yummy lunch, and followed by a great puppet show! It was called "Baby Bear's 1st Birthday". Super cute.

After the cake, Joseph gave all his guests a little white pumpkin and a balloon.
It's hard to believe that a year has come and gone. Joseph is such a cute little toddler now. He's a great walker, talker, and all around shaker! He is so sweet whenever he says "mama" and "daddy". The best is when he folds his arms when we pray. He will always be our precious little guy.

Hope you enjoy our pics! We hope you can come at the next big bash!
